I never thought I could live to report such exciting news on my blog.
And at the same time it is the most speculative piece of information on this blog ever.
But who cares - it makes my heart beat faster so let me write about it anyway :)

"The pair are set to face each other at the World Scrabble Championships later this year, which are expected to take place in Poland"
If it turns out to be true I would be the most excited person in the world.

Maybe that's why your federation didn't announce the qualification tournament - if you will host it, so you will gain 2 extra-spots, meaning that it will be a piece of cake to qualify, regarding the small number of competitive players. Anyway, it will be the first continental Europe WSC and a relief for our federation, too, because the expenses will be lower than usual :)
I couldn't agree more. Let's hope for it. By the way: my mom found a relatively cheap flight from Warsaw to Bucaresti - ca. 150 EUR for a return ticket (LOT Polish Airways). This means I'm sure to come to your tournament next year :)
Wow, good news ! We are waiting for you ! Yes, if you will take earlier the tickets, like 6-8 months before, they cannot cost more than 200 euros. In Bucharest, you can take a look on booking.com, the prices are decent even for a 4 star hotel. But i hope they will be very decent for the tournament :) Also Malev have some good prices, with stop in Budapest. We are now in discussions of eventually modifying our dates from March to October 2012 because of the possible Polish WSC and the new dates for Israel tournament, which are very close to our proposal, so we risk to not have enough interest. This days we will make a final announce to ABSP and on WESPA site.
